Help & support

Get help

One inbox, read by the people who build the app.

Email support@friendscape.app and we will get back to you, usually the same day.

Report a problem

In the app, open Settings, then Help & Support, then Report a problem. That starts an email to us with your app version filled in. Or email support@friendscape.app directly.

Tell us what you were doing, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. Include the email address on your account, your iPhone model and iOS version. A screenshot helps more than anything.

Something crashed. Please still tell us what you were doing. Crash reports reach us automatically but they do not say what you were trying to achieve, and that is usually the part that matters.

Reporting someone or something

Every post, comment and message has a report control on it, and you can block anyone from their profile. Reports reach us directly. For anything urgent, or anything involving a minor, email support@friendscape.app with "URGENT" in the subject and we will prioritise it. Our community guidelines set out what we remove.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are a small team and we are not a substitute for one.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Settings and tap Delete account at the bottom. The screen tells you what happens to plans other people are on before you confirm.

You can also email support@friendscape.app from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We do not ask you why.

What is removed, what stays on other people's plans, and how long it takes are set out in the privacy policy.

Getting the app

Friendscape is an iPhone beta distributed through TestFlight. Tap here to join.

If you have never used TestFlight, that link installs TestFlight first. When it finishes, come back to this page and tap it again to get Friendscape. Opening TestFlight on its own will ask for a redeem code that you do not need and do not have.

There is no Android version yet.

Common things

My friend can't see the plan I sent them. Check the plan's visibility. Invite-only plans are visible to invited people; a close friends plan is only on your close friends' feeds. Sending the link directly always works regardless.

The times look wrong. Itineraries render in the destination's timezone, not your phone's, which is usually the surprise rather than the bug. If a trip has no destination set yet we fall back to your device timezone.

My trip has no cover photo. Covers come from a photo library keyed to your destination. If yours is a small town, or the destination is still to be decided, you may get a generated gradient instead. You can always set your own.

Notifications aren't arriving. Check iOS Settings, then Friendscape, then Notifications. If they are on there and still nothing arrives, email us with your account address; we can see whether the send failed on our side.

Something looks out of date. In the app, Settings has Refresh my data, which reloads everything from the server without signing you out.
